Tulalip Little League

Challenger Division

The Challenger Division is a separate division of Little League to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 8 - 18 (plus those enrolled in school through age 22), to enjoy playing the game of baseball.

One of the benefits of having a Challenger Division is that it encourages the use of "buddies" for the Challenger players. The buddies assist the Challenger players on the field but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays themselves. However, the buddy is always nearby to help when needed.

Home games will be played on (list field here). Tulalip Little League will play against other leagues in District 1 during the 8 - 10 week season. The season will wrap up with a Jamboree Day with photos, a game, and picnic with all Challenger teams in District 1.

Registration

All registration is online. Use the main menu to instructions on "How do I register?"; and "Start Registration Here." Players will register as "Baseball/Softball Player: Challenger" program. Adult buddies must register as "On Field Volunteers: Challenger."

Players must reside in Tulalip Little League boundaries. Three documents for proof of address are required annually. For more information, from our main menu, visit the "Registration: Proof of Address" page. Proof of age, i.e. Birth Certificate, is also required. All items may be submitted at the next Turn In Day, see our calendar; OR mail to Attn: Player Agent, (list address here).

Adult buddies/volunteers are subject to a background check, and will be issued an ID badge. A league issued ID badge is required by all adults on the field or in the dugout. Applications must be completed by March 25th. Headshot photo for new volunteers for use on your ID badge, should be sent to marlin@tulalipll.org.
